Bristol School of Physiology, Pharmacol…

Part of the Faculty of Life Sciences, the School of Physiology, Pharmacology & Neuroscience encompasses internationally recognised research groups whose interests extend from the cell to the whole animal, ranging from cell signalling and neuropharmacology to cardiovascular and respiratory function and the study of sensory and sensorimotor systems in the intact brain.

Working collaboratively within the School and with colleagues across the UK and abroad, we use our expertise to investigate how cells and organisms function and how we might modulate their function to improve health.

We have a comprehensive, high-quality undergraduate teaching programme, covering BSc and MSci degrees in Pharmacology, Physiological Sciences and Neuroscience, as well as contributing to the professional medical, dental and veterinary science degree programmes. We are at the forefront in the use of interactive media, with the development of eBioLabs and the AIMS Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, to ensure the highest quality teaching and student experience.
