The School of Software Engineering (SSE) USTC is one of the first thirty-five pioneer software engineering institutes in China, which was founded in 2001 to meet the demand of cultivating software professionals. In spite of short history, software engineering was reviewed as A- in the national discipline evaluation in 2017, while only 15 disciplines were reviewed as A+ or A among all USTCs schools.
