The School of International Relations and Public Affairs of Fudan University was established on November 21, 2000. The predecessor of the college was the Department of Political Science of Fudan University established in 1923. In 1964, the Department of International Politics was established with the approval of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, becoming one of the first three departments of international politics established in New China; after the 1980s, international politics, political science, and public administration developed rapidly; in 2000, international politics The department was reorganized into the School of International Relations and Public Affairs. The college currently has two national A-level disciplines, political science (A+) and public administration (A-). It is a national "double first-class" discipline construction unit.
