Requirements to study an art degree in Spain are divided as follows:

Language Requirements

Students that wish to study art in Spain should be fluent in Spanish or English. Students whose native language is either English or Spanish do not need to submit proof of language proficiency. However, those who come from a non-English or Spanish speaking country must submit scores of DELE (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera) for Spanish, or submit test scores of IELTS or TOEFL for studies in English.

Academic Qualifications

In addition to the language requirements you should also submit your previous academic qualifications. These may differ from one level of study to another but in general they include a high school certificate or diploma equivalent to a Spanish one, a Bachelor’s degree if you are applying for a postgraduate degree, transcripts, your CV, and a portfolio with samples of your work.

Financial Resources and Study Visa

Being financially stable and obtaining a study visa are two interconnected issues. This is due to the fact that you cannot obtain a visa without proving that you can support yourself financially while studying in Spain. Your financial status should indicate that you have at least €600
($705) per month to support yourself through your studies. Note that you should also have valid medical insurance in case of an accident or sudden disease during your stay.
