How Long Does It Take to Get an Engineering Degree in Germany?

An undergraduate engineering program in Germany usually takes three to four years of full-time study to complete. A German language course prior to your engineering studies will take approximately 6 to 8 months to complete. In addition, a preparatory course (if you need to attend one) will take one year.

On the other hand, an engineering master’s program in Germany will take around 1-2 years of full-time study to complete. Those who enroll in a part-time engineering master’s program or pursue additional research might take up to 5 years to complete their degree.
