Application Process
The applications for a Computer Science degree can be submitted directly to the universities through their online application system, or they can be sent through UCAS (the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Usually, for undergraduate studies, students apply through UCAS since most universities will not accept applications directly to the university. For postgraduate studies, students usually apply via the University’s online application system.
The application deadline for students applying through UCAS is January 15.
Students applying to the university directly should check the university website for the exact deadline of that particular university.

Degree Duration: How Long Does It Take to Study Computer Science in the United Kingdom?
The exact duration of the program depends on the country, university, and level of study you plan to undertake. Bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science usually take three to four years to complete. Master’s degrees can take one to four years to complete. Master’s degrees in Computer Science are offered as Master of Science (MS), Master of Engineering (MEng), Master of Philosophy.
During the course of your studies, you will learn about digital systems, continuous mathematics, functional programming, imperative programming, linear algebra, probability, algorithms, concurrent programming, databases, artificial intelligence, computer networks, principles of programming languages, etc. Once you complete your bachelor’s studies you will have the opportunity to choose a field you would like to specialize in.
Tuition Fees: How Much Does It Cost to Study Computer Science in the United Kingdom?
The cost of tuition fees will be one of your main burdens while studying abroad. Especially since tuition fees in the United Kingdom tend to be higher for some international students. From 2021-2022 onwards, all international students will be subject to the same tuition fees, with an exception of Irish students, or those that already live in the United Kingdom and are registered with the EU Settlement Scheme.
